Dresden Malt Shovel Football Club currently play in Division One of the Sutton Sunday League.  They originally formed in the early 1970's in the nearby Sandwell & District League, but moved to the Sutton Sunday League in 1997.

They have recently enjoyed success in both Cup and League competitions in the Sutton Sunday League, being promoted twice and winning 3 league cups since switching leagues.

The club are based in the Malt Shovel Public House, in Great Barr, and play their home matches at Aston University Playing Fields in Great Barr.
